Job purpose & Scope

Responsible for project wise design and engineering required for the project business: To assist Engineering Head/Reporting manager to prepare structural & civil design as per customer enquires/tender document & assign the design code. Get the input data verified from respective co-coordinator from design point of view & upload the same in system. Checking guidelines/inputs in prescribed format. Checking the input drawings if available & Prepare complete design from input data. Assist to prepare the construction drawings with drafting personnel. Send the design/drawing to HO coordinator for approval/tender purpose. Update all material quantity in BBS. Keep record of status of all designs, drawings & documents. To assist all concerned in understanding the technicalities. To clarify problems to site team during execution. Keep record of all data, documents & distribute to the concerned. To assist marketing team during bidding of the project.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

1. Pre order activities:

• Study Project requirement, General Technical Specification, General Condition of Contract (GCC), Special Condition of Contract (SCC), Interpret conditions with special reference to engineering
• Prepare structural & foundation design as per project requirement.
• Interaction with coordinators, project managers and preparation of design & drawings.
• Review of project wise construction drawings.
• Review of GA/foundation drawings received from customers.
• Interaction with client/consultant & get the approval of the drawings.
• Attend the client meeting related to design.
• Maintaining the status of documentation and periodically sharing the details with coordinators and Project Managers.

2. Tender activities:

• Assist the tender team to understand the drawings, technicalities & carry out the design.
• Update regularly the input data project wise.

3. Post order activities:  

• To update all design parameters as per standard & verify as per BOQ/Submitted tender stage design.
• Keep all records for future tenders.

4.  Other Activities:

• To assist the manufacturing team to understand the requirement of special project.         

Person Specifications

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s in Civil / Mechanical & Structural engineering

Desired Qualification: Graduate/ Postgraduate

Experience: 6-12 yrs

Industry Preference: companies engaging in similar line of business / design / structure field
