Organizational Description

Job purpose & Scope

To assure quality of all products in Fans BU as per Indian standard requirement and meet Bajaj quality assurance norms.  

Major Areas of Responsibilities

1. Inspection of products /processes

• Inspection of products / Parts at vendor’s end and evaluating their performance score.
• Monitor process parameters.
• Take necessary steps to improve product designs & provide suggestions for up-gradation of product quality.
• Evaluate new technologies and methods to make recommendations regarding their use.
• Lead vendor’s team for improvement in product/ process quality
• Participate in internal assessments and audits as required at vendor end. 

2. New Product Development & Value Engineering

• Getting involved in new product development at initial stages.
• Effective and quick communication to resolve all challenges during development stage with all concerned.
• Development of effective quality gates at required stages to ensure proper quality of product before launch. 

• Share supplier wise and trial wise reports to all concerned on timely basis.
• Co-coordinating product development functions including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development and testing activities.
• Practical Implementation of standards on shop floor as per product & process requirements.
• Potential Vendor Audits / Existing Vendor Audits / Evaluation of Supplier.

3. Testing of product & components

• Testing of all products & components as per Indian Standard and Bajaj Quality plan requirement 
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems to reduce customer complaints.
• Timely feedback to design & development for design correction & improvements
• Prepare QAP’s for new/old products

4. MIS

• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
• Testing of all products & components as per Indian Standard and Bajaj Quality plan requirement 
• Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
• Write technical reports or documentation such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.

5. CRM analysis (Field Failure Analysis) on monthly basis.

• Total Complaints vs Sales Calculation, Model-wise, Branch-wise, Vendor-wise, Component-wise
• Early days failure calculation
• COPQ Calculation
• ISO9001-2015 knowledge and implementation experience

Person Specifications

Essential Qualification: Degree & Diploma of Engineering in Electrical. Mechanical & Electronics 

Desired Qualification: BE, B.Tech in Electrical. Mechanical & Electronics 

Experience: 7~9 years of experience in similar area or experience in quality function ( Fans & Appliance )
