JOB PURPOSE

Assist in developing CAD models in 3D with form fit and function, which are parametric and tolerance build, Create BOM (Bill of Materials), Drawings, Exploded views during engineering design of NPD projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

3D CAD Modelling

  • Work closely with Industrial Design (external as well as internal) & ED teams and assist to develop CAD surface and part models with dimensional dependencies, generate drawings, BOM and necessary documents for communication with stakeholders.
  • Create CAD models for plastic, metal, sheet metal, casting, rubber, wire harness, parts

Engineering Drawings

  • Generate drawings of assemblies, subassemblies, parts with specifications mentioned for CTQs by following standard guidelines of organization
  • Develop and maintain the database through PLM Windchill.
  • Coordinate with Design engineer and get CAD changes throughout the design cycle at each milestone.

BOM and Documentation and Inspection

  • Create BOM, draft 2D drawings with CTQ mark, balloon diagrams, and conduct part inspection.
  • Execute/Review reverse engineering models
  • Review document control and design change management records during NPD (new product developments) process

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma/BE Mechanical

WORK EXPERIENCE

0-5 years of experience in Consumer Durable, Consumer Electronics, Industrial Products, Automotive industry.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES WITH PROF LEVELS

Technical skills: Proficient in CAD Tools specially Creo, or SolidWorks with experience of UDF, Referencing

Ability to generate surfaces

Fully aware of concepts of GDT in CTQ parameters in 3D and 2D

Awareness of guidelines for plastic, sheet metal part design
