Job Purpose & Scope

 

Making competitive bids for AIS/GIS Substations and achieving order booking targets of EPC Exports

 

Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities

 

    1. Study complete tender document, qualification requirement, country risks and making necessary tender synopsis and other assessment for qualification and submit to management for approval to bid.
    2. Coordination with internal team like execution, legal, commercial, purchase, Finance & taxation, Insurance, Logistics etc for various cost inputs.
    3. Involve in making consortium / JV agreement and doing the necessary coordination.
    4. Floating of various vendor / Subcontractor enquiry and interacting with vendors / Subcontractors and also making comparison statement for negotiations.
    5. Interacting with local country specific Finance & Tax consultants and obtaining charges and process for Branch registration and operations, Imports and local taxation on Imports, local purchases, services, local manpower, expatriates visa and work permits
    6. Preparation of Techno commercial proposals as per bidding documents.
    7. Preparation of Price bids by making costing sheet and filling various schedules given in bid
    8. Physical submission of tenders either personally / branch peoples and attending Prebid and Post bid meeting with customers / consultant. In case of E-tenders, scanning / uploading of documents on websites.
    9. Attending price bid opening meetings and preparation of Win- Loss Analysis.
    10. Maintaining data bank and also Keeping track of live (submitted) tenders from floating of tenders up to award of work.
    11. Keeping track of competitors data
    12. In case of award of work, involving in following activities: a. Attending Post Bid / Pre-award discussions and preparation of MOM. b. Verification / study of LOA / LOI / Detailed order in line with specifications and check for deviations, if any. c. Submission of order acceptance d. Arranging / Submission of Performance BG / Advance BG for the project e. Executing / Signing of Contract Agreements f. Distribution of copies to HO / Site / Client.
    13. In case of unsuccessful bidder, applying for refund of EMD BG / EMD DD. 
    14. Tracking of EMD refund payment by making constant follow-up including personal visits to customer’s office.
    15. Renewal of existing e-tendering registrations time to time (Online portals).
    16. Post Order support to HO teams / Clients for various queries, amendments etc.

 

Qualification: Indicate necessary qualification

Essential: B. Tech / B.E. – Electrical

Desirable:  MBA Marketing.

Industry: - Power sector.

Experience: Indicate necessary experience required to perform the job responsibilities effectively. Please mention if any specific industry experience, profile experience or work experience required.

Functional Area:  Tendering, Marketing & Business Development

Desirable:  7 to 10 years of Tendering & BD experience related to International EHV Sub-stations.

Other Requirements:

Must be physically fit to travel outstation (at least 10 days in a month)

Must have excellent public speaking capabilities to address large gathering
