Job Purpose & Scope

Specialist – Sales IT will support the CP Business and Function within BEL to Rollout new IT Systems and solutions. He/she shall be the bridge between IT and CP Business. He/she will drive the project and will be responsible for project planning, onboarding, execution, and implementation. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to Drive Sales IT initiatives across various BUs by developing, installing, maintaining, testing and upgrading various types of Sales Applications, ultimately helping the internal and extended salesforce to enhance sales performance.

 

Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities

  1. Work as bridge between IT and all Sales-related Functions supporting the various BUs, by understanding Business and Sales-related requirements and converting the same, into technical requirements
  2. Drive various IT initiatives related to Sales, as part of the technology roadmap, to enhance the Organization's Sales related efficiency & productivity through IT Systems/Applications
  3. Take stock of all Sales related Applications, Hardware, and Software requirements from the various BUs and Sales Functions, document application requirements in functional documentation templates, and coordinate with respective Technology Group from IT to get the requirement delivered to the business
  4. Troubleshoot system issues to determine root cause and viable solutions, develop test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT),   and validation, and document test results
  5. Know the scope of automated applications and conduct diagnostic and quality tests to resolve logged errors
  6. Implement applications developed, and provide training and support to the end users
  7. Perform required application installations, maintenance and support
  8. Serve as an analyst, and tap into various types of Business Intelligence analysis available, to educate Sales Teams
  9. Track application functionality and performance and make improvements by incorporating feedback
  10. Ensure documentation of all functional application requirements
  11. Know Service Delivery expectations, and align IT resources to deliver committed SLAs

 

Qualification

Essential Qualification: B.Tech. / M.Tech. in IT or Computers / BCA / B. Sc. / B. Com

Desirable Qualification: MBA in IT or MCA

Experience

7 - 8 Years of experience in managing relevant Software Development in Consumer Durables/ Retail/ Lighting business

Other Requirements

  • Good analytical skills, good interpersonal management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of DMS, DSO operations, beat planning, retailer business will be an added advantage
