JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for ensuring that Warehousing operations are running smoothly, All India. This will include , but not limit to policy making, Project Management, Digitalization, Supporting Regional teams, in running warehousing operations smoothly.

 

Also taking care of timely delivery with cost effectiveness of imports and exports through ocean & air freight logistics.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Modernizing of central warehousing and regional distribution centers with third party operations in coordination with all concerned for finalization of new warehouse, if required and signing of third-party operations agreement along with KPIs.
  • Tracking Digitalization projects like WMS, Scanning, RMA etc.. to bring transparency in the organization.
  • Finalizing of SOPs & implementation tracker & checklist for warehouse operations.
  • Tracking Costs and leaky buckets of warehousing costs and plugging those.
  • Ensuring that Space required is optimized, and we have right amount of space to store right amount of goods.
  • Ensuring tracking of all warehousing KPIs and making people accountable for missing their KPIs.
  • Carrying out warehouse consolidation and upgradation by assessing location transit time reality check in line with TOC SLAs, carrying out assessment of potential cost savings on account of rent, manpower (Staff / Laborers/ Security guard) & transportation.
  • Assessing and seeking approvals for additional warehouse requirements, if any & ensuring availability of infra-structural requirements (HPTs, Pallets, Office equipment's, etc.) for uninterrupted operations.
  • Preparing and updating warehouse space utilization dashboard – capacity (CFT) Vs actual inventory (CFT)space and budget planning for seasonal products.
  • Adherence to basic statutory compliance & timely renewals of agreements for un-interrupted services, assessment and seeking approval for additional manpower requirements, if any.
  • Tracking EHS open points and closing them at timely manner.
  • Ensuring changes in E-Way bill extract report based on government regulations issued from time-to-time Interface with EBiz system and Clear tax portal on scheduler basis.
  • MIS on E-Way bills generated / cancelled through portal and approval of service bills.
  • Arranging training across logistics team & obtaining knowledge on best logistics practices through seminars / conferences.

 

  • Managing ocean and air freight management for imports and exports by reverse auction through portal and offline as well as online bidding process.
  • Carrying out market study on freight rates and sharpening ability to derive service from vendors.
  • Handling sea and air custom clearance through market study on rates, GST knowledge pertaining to EXIM and In-depth knowledge of custom processes.
  • Liasoning with government officials and handling documentation process in a systematic manner.
  • Handing the logistics process management and implementing process changes through innovative ideas to resolve problems.
  • Plan and schedule activities in a manner that there is seamless movement of goods resulting in cost and time effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all rules and regulations laid by the Company and regulatory authorities for import/ export are adhered to and complied with resulting in minimal errors.
  • Understanding specific needs of each customer / country and creating checklist of documents to be maintained.
  • Compiling data, gathering information to convert it into MIS to take strategic decisions.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Post-graduation Diploma/Degree in (Logistics/Supply Chain Management)
