JOB PURPOSE

Category Planning and Activation Manager is responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to drive business growth

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Category Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with business objectives.

·         Market Analysis: Conduct market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis to drive growth and innovation.

·         Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, creative, and media agencies) to increase brand awareness and market share.

·         New Product Development: Identify and develop new product opportunities with R&D.

·         Channel-Specific Plans: Create growth and communication plans for specific channels.

·         Asset Development: Develop point-of-sale materials, visibility, and merchandise.

·         Market and Competitor Analysis: Analyze market and competitor trends to identify business opportunities.

·         Consumer and Shopper Insights: Understand consumer and shopper behavior to identify trends.

·         Category forecast & planning: Actively engage with sales team & supply chain in forecast planning of active, slow moving, phased out lines for the category 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

·         5-10 years of experience in category management, marketing, or sales

·         FMCG or FMCD marketing experience, with brand deployment and new product development expertise.
